Latin and World Music in Davis

Salsa, Samba, Mariachi, and More

Latin and world music in Davis brings dancing and listening together. Many nights start with a lesson, where a teacher walks beginners through salsa, bachata, or samba steps before the floor opens for social dancing.

On the UC Davis campus, student mariachi and gamelan ensembles share the calendar with touring artists who play traditional instruments such as koto, shakuhachi, and taiko. Many campus performances are free and open to everyone.
