Iyakuh
Rooted in Lake Atitlán, Guatemala, Iyakuh creates immersive sonic landscapes blending Organic Downtempo, Ambient, Textured Beats, Global Bass, and Ecstatic Dance. Through a collage of nature recordings gathered across the world, his music becomes an intimate auditory reflection of our planet’s diversity. Inspired by lineage, cosmovision, and ancestral traditions, his compositions weave a multicultural tapestry of instrumentation and atmosphere. Deeply influenced by visual realms, Iyakuh collaborates with filmmakers and visual artists to create soundtracks supporting the preservation of ecosystems, plant species, and cultural memory. His performances are meditative, cinematic, expansive, and dancefloor-activating.
Carrie Agasid, HiSC, CMT (she/they/siya) is a Trauma-informed Somatic Practitioner offering decolonial, integrative coaching and bodywork, Embodied Consent education, and Tul’ix (formerly Arvigo ®) Maya Therapies for pelvic and womb care. Her long, unfolding journey into the soma (body) has gifted her with an intimate understanding of how the body transmits, responds, and releases human experiences intergenerationally and within a person’s lifetime. Carrie’s work is a labor of love-in-action toward her commitments to equanimity, equity, and reciprocal stewardship. She believes in cultivating containers of dignity, reverence, and deep care for the spectrum of human emotions, the lived experiences of bodies, and the web of life we belong to. A 2.5gen Filipinx-American, Carrie is a diasporic settler and woman of color on unceded Patwin lands in what is now called Davis, CA.
