String (X)Tet
Date
Thursday - November 5, 2026
Time
7:00 pm - 9:00 pm
Event Description
The String (X)Tet is an informal ensemble for violin, viola, cello and upright bass, hosted by Bright Bear Workshop at Watermelon Music. The lineup is whoever shows up, from a duo to an octet, and there’s no audition.
It’s one of Bright Bear’s newest events and is still taking shape, so players are encouraged to bring music they’d like to play or something to work on. The group grew out of cellist Renata Browne’s search for more chances to play string music in Davis.
