Performers’ Circle with Larry Guenther and Friends

Performers’ Circle will feature Larry Guenther and Friends on Tuesday October 27th, 7 PM, at Odd Fellows Hall, 415 2nd Street in Davis. Larry and Friends will bring original tunes in the Americana genre. They aim to make the audience sing, dance, and think.

Local singer/songwriter Larry Guenther will be joined by his wife Ashley Hill on violin, and friends Kurt Roggli on guitar, and Keith Cary on upright bass. Their songs have topics ranging from the Fall of Troy to Johnny Cash, lullabies, and unrequited love. These great musicians have often graced the stage at the Village Homes Performers Circle. Individually they have played with storied local bands and the Woodland Opera House Orchestra. Recordings of Larry solo can be found at soundcloud.com/larry-guenther.

The Performers’ Circle is a free event that welcomes performers of all levels as well as audience members who simply come to enjoy the performances. No tickets or reservations are required. It is held the fourth Tuesday of each month, except December.

The event begins with an open mike from 7:00 to 8:15 pm and concludes with the featured performance from 8:30 to 9 pm. Signups begin at 6:45 for the short performances (less than 5 minutes per act). The emcee this month will be Rod Unema. Masks are welcome at Odd Fellows Hall.
